This first one relates to people experiencing sudden, severe, acute low back pain that can be frightening. A common response to this can be to stop moving in an effort to “protect” the back.

Backs are made to move, and efforts to protect it by not moving it often make it feel worse. Regular day to day activities do not injure us.

Remembering the body is strong and not fragile, even during back pain, is the key take away here.
